Final 2 Weeks of Fall 2009

Wow. The Fall semester has almost literally FLOWN by! I've enjoyed almost every minute of it, from friends to Book of Mormon class to the Christmas Around the World performance! There is no where on Earth quite like BYU. You can pretty much strike up a conversation with anyone. You can say "Hi" to random people you pass by and they'll say "Hi" and smile right back! You can take dance classes at the same time you are taking religion classes. You'll have a prayer before almost every class! Life here is amazing! Nothing to take away from home, of course! Home will always be home, and nothing can beat that. However excited I am to be at BYU, I am sad to be leaving this semester. I've met so many cool people that just brighten my day, every day. But my mission call to Paraguay far outweighs any feelings of sadness I have. I am so excited and ready to serve the people in Paraguay in whatever circumstances they may be in. I just want to be a working instrument in the Lord's hands and fulfill His will in whatever He has in store for me.

Being Sick

I have officially decided that being sick is bad. What is worse, though, is being sick at college. For the past 3 days all I've had to stare at were my blank walls, useless flyers, Facebook, StarCraft, or homework. However, I was somewhat productive as I wrote an insight paper for my Book of Mormon class and finished up one of my Great Works papers. It's also given me ample time to read my scriptures, and even delve a little in James E. Talmage's "Jesus the Christ." I didn't know it was written back in 1911. For some reason I thought that it was a much more recent publication. Guess I was wrong.

Now that I'm better from whatever version of the flu I had, I should probably start trying to catch up. Missing 3 days of classes = no bueno.

Adios!

Brigham Young University

BYU is so amazing! I love the college atmosphere here. There are so many great people and they all share the same moral values and principle I do. General Conference was so amazing these past two days... Just wanted to say something, so there.
