Last Summer Break from High School

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

That's about the first thing I can say.

Officially I am a Senior. Do you know how weird that is? I kept thinking that Seniors are some sort of different race, but now I am one of them. It always seemed so far away... but what can I do? I am officially taking a college class over the summer - English 103 at College of the Canyons. Woo hoo. The class starts tomorrow and I have tried to get a head start by reading the texts ahead of time. But I'll probably have to go back and read them again... ha ha. Besides that fact - I only have a year until I can go to college and get away from Fillmore. Anybody who knows Fillmore will understand why.

Last night the bishop's daughter called to see if she and her little sister and brother could come over and swim. We had a pretty good time swimming and sitting in the jacuzzi. Until recently, she used to have a really different attitude towards a lot of people, but now she seems to be mellowing out. Which I won't complain about, that means I might get to talk to someone my own age that isn't related to me. AHH! What an idea.

We leave for Utah on Friday. Next week, I'll be at a BYU Baseball Camp in hopes to get either recruited or at least on the coaches radar as a possible walk on player. This is going to be my last sports camp up there... I am kind of sad. I'm just going to have to make the most out of it and have some fun, eh? lol.

Well, things never quite seem to calm down around here. Maybe they will soon. Until next time...

Something I had never noticed before - there is actually color in shadows! Mike pointed this out to me while he was digitally changing these pictures. 3 of the 4 are up... see if you can tell the differences! It's actually not that hard, but it is pretty cool! More later! promise!

It's Been Awhile

Talk about a long month and a half. There's been so much going on it's hard to know where to start.

As always, let's talk sports. I've finally made my decision NOT to play football next year due to various reasons. Politics, the possibility of an injury, and the ability to focus on my one sport I am actually good at, baseball, all make up my main reason. On to baseball. I started at 3rd base for 17 games, including two league games. I made a bunch of errors, but I also greatly progressed. My arm has been getting stronger (thank goodness) and my batting has slowly improved. During spring break, I officially made the move from 3rd to Shortstop during a tournament. I started at Short for 3 of those tournament games and another 2 league games. Although it is my favorite position, it has given me the most trouble lately. I have had no confidence in my ability to play there at all. Which frustrates me since I started there all of last year. So that leads up to this week, where I made the transition from Short to Second. I have been successful so far, which is kind of amazing since I have never played Second before in my baseball career. It is also nice that I have been able to have confidence in my defense, which is sort of the basis of how good I am, since I will probably never be a home run hitter. LOL. However, we lost these past two league games versus the top notch private catholic school in our league. Extremely close game on Wednesday, blow out on Friday. On Friday I played all 3 positions I have previously played as Varsity, excepting 1st Base. So right now I am still looking for my niche as a member of our team and it might be a little too late for that. If I can do it before the end of the year however, I can improve on that for next year. Senior year. AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha. lol. This week we play Oaks Christian, another private school. Fun eh?

Social. So Laura e-mailed me back saying it was just a bad day to start with and that it was partly my fault for repeating myself over and over. Which I will not deny doing because I do not really know how to talk to girls in person and I will be the first one to admit that. However... she should have at least said something about how she was the one freaking out. But whatever - it's hopefully just going to settle down and I will not complain. Not one bit. I still retain the fact that I CANNOT wait to get into college so that I can start meeting new and different types of people instead of being restricted to a small social group. If only I lived in the city... lol.

School. Those AP tests are looming closer than ever and I do not feel ready for them. AHHH!! I took my ACT test (plus writing) yesterday and it was easier than I thought it would be. Surprisingly enough. Um. It looks like I am taking a community college online course of Senior English (to avoid politics) and 3(possibly 4) AP tests next year: Economics and Government (Both are semester classes), Calculus (year course)(and Chemistry). At least it won't include English too. *sigh*

So that's me. I'm a nerd and a geek. I play sports. Talking to gals just ain't my thing at the moment. Oh well. I can wait till after my mission to start getting good at that! :) haha.

First Varsity Starts

Well, it turned out not so hot. 0-6 2 E. At least I made some outs. We played chatsworth (national champion team) and chaminade. I should have done better against Chaminade. Which is pretty frustrating. Maybe I've got all of my bugs out... hopefully. *fingers crossed*.

What else. AP Tests in May. AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! I am sooo not ready. Physics, Eng. Lang & Comp, and US History. I am so glad I am taking college classes next year. Seriously. Not too much else. Boring is good. Really good.

Sitting Wishing Waiting

It's time for an update.

Still playing baseball!! Woo hoo! It's all good! For now...
School's going good. Need to find some music to play for guitar though... haha.

This past weekend was the Best of EFY at the Stake Center in Santa Barbara, and there were two awesome speakers. I mean normally, the talks are okay, but these talks were some of the best I've ever heard. Afterwards we went to In-N-Out, the bomb, and there was a dance after that. There were like 300 people there, it was so cool. I didn't have time to finish my english paper, but I think it was well worth it.

Here's to hoping I don't get sick. Both of my parents are.... I am not going to get sick I am not going to get sick I am not going to get sick! Knock on wood... lol.

Well, this a pic of Me, Alex, and Mike. Mike kinda looks a litte dead... haha.

Time for me to go.
