Winter Break!

A glorious 3 weeks off of school. That's what I got to say... haha.

Lets see. First and foremost. School. I pulled off straight A's which gives me a 4.67 GPA according the the 4 (5 points for Honors/AP) point grading scale. Otherwise it'd be a 4.0. Which I'd still be happy with. This is one of the first times I've considered straight A's an accomplishment. It happens with 3 AP classes and an Honors Class... hahaha.

Second off - Baseball. We haven't won a winter game yet... but that doesn't really matter as it is all a warm up for the real season. Which is a good thing. Cause if it was season right now, I'd be seeing a lot of the bench. :(

Finally. Life overall. Wel, right now, social life's kinda a drag, but that happens when your a teenager. A lot sometimes... unfortunately.

Last news - 17 in 8 days. WOO HOO! Next Saturday! Wow... it only seems like yesterday I turned 16.... time does travel fast.

So that sums it up. I'll see if I have any pics to post. I doubt it.

songwriter?Naaa

well....

things have been calming down a bit.... my eagle court of honor went really well... there were about 50 people there, so that was pretty good. we kept it short and sweet so nobody would fall asleep. hehehe

any problems? well, the zit infection's hit me pretty hard... which is extremely frustrating..... but.... oh well.....

i was asked to write a song.... so i did... and looking at your profile, Taylor, reminded me of it... "people's eyes(I'm a stalker!)"

so here it is: don't laugh if you think its cheesy. :)

There's only one thing in my life
Where I could spend my time
And I don't feel stupid when I do
When I stare at you

*Eyes that have no measure
Endless wasves of emotion
Yet all I can do
Is stare into you

Something more true than words
Or your everyday actions
Is revealed in the depths
Of that beautiful intensity

*

What is it that you do
Whenever I see you

Maybe I'll learn
My mind will turn

But for now-
Staring into your eyes will do.
----

Wow. reading that again... it is pretty cheesy.... hahaha.... i have to work on it some more.... hahahaha.

So yup. Seminary, school, weightlifting, baseball, and the ocassional interruption. That's it! :)

I Hear and Obey Thy Command

Yes your highness. Although I will contradict one thing - your life ain't so boring! :D Forgive me for being "stingy" and I'm sorry. hahaha

ok. Update? We'll start with football since its done with. We lost our last two games terribly, although I did get to play a lot in both games. Which is really good. I should start next year! Very good.

Next. School. Things are going pretty good. I got a 4.3 for the quarter, and I expect to get it up to a 4.5 for the semester. Hopefully. Physics is really hard, but enjoyable. History is just plain hard! *sigh*. Math is pretty good, english, and guitar is improving. I'm learning how to play "You and Me" by Lifehouse - I'm pretty excited! :)

Social Life? Well, stake dances always count. So, I did actually talk to Alex and got it smoothed out for then. After that there was the huge multi-stake dance. And her friend Alexis was all upset so I was talking to her and somehow Alex got the idea that I liked Alexis instead of her (how come these names are so dang close together? Why couldn't one be Cathy and the other one Taylor or something like that? huh? lol) ... and then Alex got all upset and I had to calm her down and convince her I didn't say that... so that was finally smoothed over. I've never spent so much time on the phone before! Luckily it's all good now. Isn't drama so much fun?!?!!? NOT!

So ya. THat's pretty much it. Life is life and you have to just get over it sometimes. yup. So. Yup.

Cali Wonders

First you win a football game

Take a Weekend

Wake up to fires

Prepare for voluntarty evac

No school for a couple of days

Practice only twice before the next game

And then lose 28-21

And there's nothing you can do about it.

Well, just better move on.

No use dwelling on the past I guess.

Move on to bigger and better things.

Like Upper and Lower Bounds theorems and elasticity labs, along with Centripetal Acceleration.

haha

Now it's sprinkling.

This could've been useful about 5 days ago.

HAHA.

That's it.

My rambling for the day.

i'm glad there's no school for a week. *whew* should prolly go work out or go work on homework.

Ay - bad news.

Well, my basketball coach just passed away from a heart attack today. He was a great man - and it has hit my brother and mom extremely hard. extremely. I mean, I do too, but they were closer to him than I was. Hmm. I just can't believe it. It's just sad.

Midway through the season

We lost. 22-34. Unfortunately. But, I did catch the ball 3, yes 3, times for a total of 29 yards. Amazingly enough. I even have pics to prove it.

It was a good game where we just got beat by a better team. We were in it 22-21 by the beginning of the 4th quarter, but we just messed up. oh well. Santa Paula is goin' down on Friday.

Time to take a sunday afternoon nap, if i can. ha ha.

Homecoming win!!

We did it! 34-20 on homecoming night. I even got to play! I didn't do anything but block, but I still got to play! :). The homecoming dance was okay - I stayed for about an hour and jammed. I dance my way not the school way, and I was tired of the rap. So I was outta there. :) Fine by me.

Things are going good. Gotta go work on Physics. Explain why inertia and friction act the way they do and give an example. Just kidding the questions are harder than that. Oh well.

Well

We won

29-24

Close game! We almost gave it up. Well the team, since i didn't play.

Well

Im bored

so i thought i'd do something with my time so i don't do something stupid because im bored. which is a roundabout reason. ha ha ha ah ah ha ha

well. top of the list. football. looks like i won't be playing too much tomorrow if I go by how much time i've been put in during practice. unless we are winning by a lot or losing by a lot. That's the realistic picture, but hopefully I will get to play and I will do something to benefit the team while I am out there. I did get clocked pretty good at practice yesterday while running the ball. that was fun... sort of... if you count not being able to walk in a straight line. actually it was pretty funny, i just have to wait to see it on film. :D

Second. School. History just doesn't seem to get any easier. I don't get anything out of English because my mom teaches it and most of it goes in one ear and out the other. i wish there was another ap 11 english teacher cause i would take it in a heartbeat. instantly. unfortunately, it's not going to happen and im going to have to take a different approach for that ap test in may. i have to... otherwise im screwed. lol. Math is sooooo easy right now, there is almost no point to having a teacher because I can teach all this to myself, which is always frustrating. Physics is one tough subject - lots and lots of equations and figures. That one's going to take a lot of concentration. Guitar. We just got another band teacher because the other one retired after an incident with his "music appreciation" class that was a dumping ground for the admin. because they had no where to put them. supposedly. And the new teacher, mrs. Fernandez, draws on contradicting views. She is strict, yet laidback, but mean as all get out sometimes. Just have to see how that all fits together. I thought Junior year was supposed to be the best out of your high school years. Ha.

Third - mutual. I haven't been able to go to any young mens or combined activities for the last month or so, which is bothersome to say the least. #1 I am falling behind in Duty to God, and #2 I can tell that my connection has been slowly slipping away, but I am trying to hold on as tight as possible. I guess that's why seminary is there too, another way to connect. So, realisticly, I am just missing out on fun activities and laughing at my priest quorem advisor. and falling behind in dtg. Which isn't so good. Thank you football - not.

Fourth - Social. Watson doens't seem to be popular at the moment, my brother or I. Sometimes we seem as the outsiders hanging on to a tightly constricted group of friends. Unable to get in. Doesn't make sense because we've known them for at least 5 years and we're still almost treated as newcomers. Lame small town antics. I guess that's how it is. School is a fine topic for conversation, and that seems about it, although there have been small glimpses into the clique with tiny outside conversation. Which is a start, I must say. Always have to start somewhere, I guess. I just wish I'd get more attn for being David rather than a Watson twin or homework help. That part about being a twin is just so bad. I'm not even going to touch the girl factor. not even. For those people who would wish to be twins - it is a whole different expierence. It's like constantly being the middle child in a large family. stuck. Oh I can't wait for college. Out on my own and no one knows my twin. It'd be so nice. ha ha.

Well I just seem to go on and on and on. Guess I just needed to vent. Later all

Saturday morning gloom

Oh man
We lost yesterday.
7-32.
Ouch.
We pretty much just shot ourselves in the feet making mistakes.
Lots of them.
Technically, we should have beat them.
We just didn't have our A game.
I did get to start at reciever and played in every quarter. And the coaches didn't say that I did anything bad in films this morning. It still sucks we lost.

Well, what else?

My bro's eagle project is coming along great. All he needs now is concrete and a pump to finish the batting cage he is working on for the high school. Worked on it a lot before and after films.

Umm. Physics is confusing as ever. Plus I left my book in my mom's room, so I can't do my homework. Uh oh. Doneskies. Oops. I could have sworn I grabbed it. Could have SWORN. I guess not then. oops.

There's a dance tonight. Yea! That should be a lot of fun. I should probably work on history homework right now.

oh boy

man will this be a long season.
1 game. 1 win. (YES! That part is a really good thing.) however, no playing time. zero. apparently i've been demoted to back-up everything now since Nathan has gotten better. And nobody I back-up got hurt. Or extremely tired. So I didn't play. Oh well. Maybe next time right?

We've started learning how to play guitar, finally. I can play "hot cross buns" now! ha ha ha ha ha. Had a test in pre-calc, things in physics sort of make sense, i guess, i would much rather have a different english teacher than my mother, and my bro and i left history class on monday. they were going to watch Last of the Mohicans. sorry. its R. I'm outta here. Thankfully my teacher is cool enough to do that.

So. Passing judgement. My offense coach seems to have forgotten I existed as a reciever. Choice words do not come to me at the moment. So. Um. Ya. Kind feelings do not exactly exist for him right now. Especially since I was first string for two weeks while Nathan was hurt, and once he got back I got kicked off of everything pretty much. We'll have to see next week.

Anyway. Enough of my tirade. sorry to keep you waiting. I just really needed to see how the game went before I said anything. there ya go. ttyl

lyrics

I believe the world is burning to the ground
oh well, I guess, we're gonna find out,
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come

Well I, believe, its all, coming to an end
oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come

Matchbox 20

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day, when nobody died...

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

Nickelback

Cause I don't believe in you
Anymore, Anymore
I wonder if it even makes a difference,
It even makes a difference to try (yeah)...

So this is goodbye

Maroon 5

The end to a really frustrating day.
I need to wait and see how events play out before I start passing judgement.
ARRGHH!
My bad.

terribly sorry

hola all.

sorry. life caught up. more specifically. football. and homework. I didn't knock on wood about nathan though. he got hurt. not terribly bad, just hyperextended his ankle. on tuesday. so he's going to try to comeback and play on monday, but if he doesn't, it seems that I will start for Fillmore High School Varsity Football as quarterback. kinda freakin' me out. I know that I can get the job done, but it's my first year playing qb, first year on varsity, and if i start qb on the first game of the season, that's just too many firsts. literally. So what else. Physics is extremely hard.... way too many equations for now... i'll get that down. Math Analysis (pre-calc) is a joke right now, all we've done is review and it is sooooo easy. oh well. English is english. big wow there. history teacher's a little of his rocker, but he makes the class entertaining at the very least. guitar. nothing but lectures so far. we're supposed to start playing on monday. hopefully. lectures get boring. football is going well, i've improved a bunch at qb, since that's all i've been playing, and it's a good thing. if nathan hadn't got hurt i wouldn't have had the chance to get better. so yup. that's pretty much it. well. chores are getting stale. better do em. plus im hungry. lunch sounds like a good idea. lates

A whole school year to look forward to!

*SIGH*

Summer is gone.

GONE.

Like the fog in the morning. Dissipates.

Except. It's not going to be coming back. Not everyday. Just one more summer.

that's it.

freaky.

so besides me flippin out over how fast summer's gone and not one pool party.

i did get to go to fair. and watch lifehouse IN CONCERT! my first one ever. it was pretty awesome. i love how the music just beats through you. ha ha. favorite songs they played were hanging by a moment, you & me, first time. maybe a few others i can't remember right about now. sides. it was a blast.

school's back. along with football.

I already know my schedule. I just LOVE my afternoon! Totally hard morning though. AP US history first, AP Lang & Comp (with my mom), Honors Math Analysis (pre-calc), and AP Physics. All in the morning. then lunch - whew. then guitar (woo hoo), and atheltics. I don't think I'll be playing basketball this year. I'd rather work out for baseball. Sides, I wasn't that great at basketball anyway. I'm pretty sure I can handle my day. just lots of homework. ha ha ha.

football's a different story. varsity this year. *yikes*. I've been working a lot at back-up qb... (nathan you'd better not get hurt, im not ready to go in a game yet.).I've also been working on reciever. Looks like I will either be the split reciever, when the coaches don't want a tight end, or sub in for the wide reciever. Unless he can't get his attitude checked. and learn the plays. Honestly, he is a really good reciever, he just has an attitude problem and is dumb as a rock. Fast and strong and can catch the ball. just needs to work on his other half. ha ha.

so life is kinda lookin up. Wish that some of the girls at school will pay more attention to me this year. as in actually talk to me, and not just for homework help. If not. I won't have a beef with it. I'll say hi, and I'll be nice, but I ain't strikin' up any conversations unless I have a pretty darn good reason. That might not help what I want, but I've had to much expierence with people putting me down for what I believe. I ain't gonna be a puppy dog - following them cause they're my friends. They have nothing to say to me? Fine. I'm not going to care. If they don't want to be friends, don't want to at least respect my standards, then fine. Boy I can't wait for college.

wow. didn't expect that. anyway. enjoy the dregs of summer cause it won't last too long. unfortunately. buh bye now. ha ha ha ha ha

Tension again

what's it called again? oh yea.... procrastination. note to self... never leave homework with less that 7 days to go and 2 football practices a day. bad idea. looks like i better get a hitch in my get along. ha ha ha

other than hw, and a splinter in my thumb that is impossible to get out, things are looking pretty good. maybe i'll even go to fair this week. and possibly with a girl. i doubt that though. lol. fair will be good enough. even football's getting better, now that i can lift more weights than i could a week ago, and that's a really good thing. so. yea. boring life here. its all good though. he he. anyways, short entry.

Relief!!

For 3 things -

MAINLY - Eagle Scout... I am official!!!
Secondly - My preseason football is taken care of.... concerning equipment and workouts.
Lastly - I have read the final Harry Potter book, and I must admit, I don't plan on reading it again. Although wonderfully, artistically, consistent put together tome, I don't like the general story. Yes, it fits, it sums it up, it leaves us happy, but there are things I think that should have been different, but that is my opinion and mine alone. Dispute not - just ignore if you have a problem.

Plans? Final trip to Utah for the summer. Blind Date for Saturday (FUN!) to go see Harry Potter the 5th. My brother knows the girl he is going with, but I don't. *sigh* At least I have a cell phone and full driving capabilities. Baseball camp at BYU. Come home, do homework, and get ready for school. Unfortunately, school starts in less than 3 weeks. *sigh*

So, things are looking up. For 'Arry Potter, not so much. Although, you might like it a lot more than I do. What can I say, fiction ain't my thing. Give me a Star Wars novel, and I'll be happy. And that's called Sci-Fi.

What can I say? Official Eagle Scout, Football is starting, Harry potter's doneskies, and I've got a date. Equals? Happy Teenager.

FRUSTRATION!!

Well, I can pretty much just kiss my board of review on saturday goodbye, seeing as my scoutmaster didn't call anybody to set it up. Thanks! not... plus no youth conference, cause a teacher in my ward wanted to go, but they didn't have room, so I let him go since I'd only be there part of the time. I guess it was a nice thing to do, but I'm still disappointed and frustrated. My sm knew about the bor since last sunday, but he still hasn't done anything. I know he has a new infant, but still, as you are called to be sm, you should do your duty. enough of my raving. here's some quotes.

Only the wise know how ignorant they really are!

No matter the performance, only effort counts as long as it is being given in order to get better.

Perfect practice makes perfect; practice makes permanent.

Aggresive mistakes on the field don't kill us, it's the passive ones.

When you realize you can spend a whole life of learning, you better start.

I'm just kidding still means the statements's half true. That's why it was said.

Sometimes mistakes can't be reversed, but you can still many things to make up for it.

Live and learn, then forsake the mistakes and work on perfection.

I know some of em aren't great, I made up most of them. so enjoy, for i'm outta here.

busy week

the beginning of a busy week, don't you just look forward to it? :D The first day wasn't as bad as I thought it be, but now I really do look forward to 3 games and 1 practice, and youth conference, my eagle board of review, and a dance. Sounds busy, but it's all fun. here are some quotes that are not from my packet. They are from Louis L'Amour's characters. You can find these and a whole lot more in his book "A Trail of Memories" sub title "The Quotations of Louis L'Amour". They are compiled by his daughter Angelique.

-To challenge the fates, that is living! To ride the storm, to live daringly, to live nobly, not wasting one's life in foolish, silly risks, or ruining the brain with too much wine, or with too much hashish [for me, no drugs or wine period! :)]!

-Living a life is much like climbing mountains - the summits are always further off than what you think, but when a man has a goal, he always feels he's working towards something.

-He put his hand upon my shoulder and told me that in the world there were two kinds of people, those who wish and those who will, and the world and its good will always belong to those who will.

-I found no luck and no opportunity except that I made [it].

-What a man wants to do he generally can do, if he wants to badly enough.

-Our struggle was for time. Our leisure was brought from hardship, and we needed leisure to think, to dream, to create.

-One chooses a name if one wills, perhaps one more suited to the personality. After all, only a few inherit great names. The rest must make them for ourselves....

-But I am somebody ... I am me.I like being me, and I need nobody to make me somebody. I need no setting. As for a home, I can build my own. As for position, each of us finds his own.

These are all from books he's written. There are a ton more, so I'll post them next time. As for Chico de Cali, punch out time is here!

Minor Update

wait, when is anything minor, well except for minor league and minor ursa... etc. etc. Last 3 baseball games we won, some by barely, others by a safe margin. We tied our passing league game for football with villanova. I met with my freshman english teacher to obtain my 4TH recommendation letter. All I need now is one from mi madre and another one from mi padre. Then on the 14th I can get my board of review and finally get my elusive Eagle Scout. FINALLY!!!!! True freedom. lol. so here's some more quotes

11. Everyone needs long range goals if for no other reason than to keep from being frustrated by short range failures.
12. You see things and ask why? But I dream things that never were and ask 'why not'?
13. One of the best ways to persuade others is with your ears - by listening to them.
14. Acceptance and forgiveness build relationships because they focus on the other person.
15. If you are patient with another in moment of anger, you will escape a hundred years of sorrow.
16. It is easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them.
17. It is useless to travel the world looking for beauty. Unless you possess it, you will never find it.
18. Acquire peace of mind by becoming the best that you are capable of becoming.
19. The athlete who usually tells you what kind of person he is, usually isn't.
20. To make a dream come true, the first requirement is a great capacity to dream. The second is persistence - a faith in a dream.

there ya go. and fyi, my iming is better than my blogging. lol.

Cool quotes

I was looking through junk that I've accumalated and I found my byu speed and power packet that had some cool quotes. here are 10 of them:

1. The biggest step you can take is the one you take to meet someone half way.
2. If you take pleasure in criticism, it's time to take hold of your tongue.
3. We cannot really be something we don't understand.
4. The great truths are too important to be new.
5. People may fail many times, but they become failures only when they begin to blame someone else.
6."Lord, when we are wrong, make us willing to change. And when we are right make us easy to live with."
7. Servise is the rent we pay for our space on earth -- don't get evicted.
8. A good deed is never lost; he who sows coutesy reaps friendship and he who plants kindness gathers love.
9. Some people will believe anything if it's whispered to them.
10. We are not primarily put on this earth to see through one another, but to see one another through.

There are like 44 quotes, so maybe I'll post some later. I have to watch flash otherwise it's the end of me... adios!

Survival of utards!

hey yall

I survived UTAH. Amazing. Now I've got to go do baseball games and football games and homework and actual work. sounds like fun!

Football camp was so much fun! 11 practices in 4 days, going through 1 intersection 25+ times, and walking almost a half mile to practice, but its all good! I learned a lot of stuff that should help me a lot. I met a few guys from my general area in Ventura County, so that was cool. Here are a few pictures from it.

Run for it!

Catch it!

Another one!

Good win!

So, besides the bad picture placement and the shocking blindness when you look at my pale body, i had a blast. We won a lot of our scrimmage (none shown, they were with pads) and almost all of our 7 on 7. Go NorthWest!

enjoy!

Hi ya

Haven't posted in a while... maybe I've been busy, or just too lazy to do this. School is finally out!! WOO HOO! Big bad Junior now.... ha ha. 2 years down, and 2 to go. I can't believe they gave us summer homework, well, actually, yes I can. But the good thing is I've already began to work on it. Sure, I've only read the book once, but still, that's better than nothing!
Summer baseball and football are going strong! I can't play basketball because that would just be nuts! Or crazy. Anyway, if I do well in both, I should start at first base for baseball and wide reciever for football. Exciting... or is it? :D lol. I've got to get ready for a game - so lates!

p.s. Sorry taylor I don't have any recent pictures... i guess I am picture shy. I guess i'll have to change that!

Life is crazy

Hey y'all

Haven't been able to do my blog in a while... maybe haven't really felt like it... ;). Baseball is fun. League hasn't been going so great for us. Since we played L.A. Baptist, we are 1-6-1 in league and 1-0 in nonleague. It was a long slide before we could gather ourselves back together. We only have 5 games left, a double header on saturday, 2 games versus Malibu (league) and our last game is against Santa Clara. I'm gonna see if my coach will let me be starting pitcher in the last game since it means nothing. I've got a chance.... maybe not. ha ha.

School's great, as always. I got a 4.5 for the quarter, so I hope I can pull that off for the semester. We are having state testing this week in english, math, history, and science. It's all pretty easy... it's just tiring. Then its just one month left till summer! I can't wait. The varsity basketball coach sent out interview packets to prospective varsity players next year and I recieved one. But so did 21 other people. Plus I'm not in the better part of the group, so most likely, I'll stay with Junior Varsity. There's a small chance I'll go to varsity. It's not a big deal to me though. Right now is baseball, then spring football, (and passing league in the summer) and then the season starts in August. And I'll be with Varsity so I need to be ready to play hard.

My driver's license test is May 10th. Exciting! But in order to use it, I need to have my eagle board-of-review done. Hopefully! :D

anyway, I'm done for now! lates

Nightcap's a drag --

Hey all

The reference to nightcap is actually something my bro found in the dictionary. According to Webster's College Edition (or something like that, it was published in the late 80's) it is defined as the ending game of a double-header... aka the second game. We played L.A. Baptist, and they were pretty good. We beat them 9-6 in the first game and lost 10-3 in the second. We lost a LOT of air (and energy) by the second game. I didn't do so well... and I sort of slacked in a few places in the second game.... and it showed. Shame on me.... I didn't do my best. That is a source of regret... but at least it wasn't a league game. Our lead-off guy missed both games due to a family outing, so I am going to be leadoff for the next two games. Hopefully I learned enough to do better than I did yesterday, because League starts on Wed. I am excited! It is going to be a hard season.

Things haven't worked out yet - I haven't even heard back from her. Looks like your "my only one" (ha ha... just kidding) Taylor. ha ha. Its from a song I heard a long time ago by yellowcard. Can't say they are in my favorites... but I listen to them occasionally.

My friend who just got baptized was ordianed today a Priest, and I got to stand in. It was so cool. Watching his conversion over a 5 month period strengthened my testimony. I know that he made a good choice in his life and will soon see the benefits of joining the church. He will most likely have the oppurtunity to serve mission soon. It was exciting for me to see the decisions that he has made recently.

Well, anyway, times are busy. I am glad I have spring break for a week! Yipee! But I still have to do an AP project and lots of math.... bummer. Lates!

Beverly Hills...

Hey all!

Baseball's going great. The Reseda game was a total blow out. We won 24-0. All the freshman went in the 4th inning.... i didn't get any balls hit to me. :( I went 1-1 with 2 walks. Not bad... :D. The last game we played was against Beverly Hills... you know... the song from Weezer... "That's where I want to be..." not really. We won 12-4. I went 1-3 with a triple... Sweet! With 1 assist and 1 throwing error... sniff. Oh well. I pitched for one inning with 2 k's. Nice. I tried my best and we did great. So now we are 3-1. Pretty decent.

Mormon Dances are always fun! Even when there aren't that many people there. You know... at band camp... just kidding. I met a pretty cute chick that just moved from Florida. Hopefully things work out. Maybe I can actually go on a date and not worry about ex-bf's or anything. ha ha.

I got to go to one of my friend's baptisms who is a Senior. He was one of the least expecting conversions I would think of, and he pretty much invited himself to church. His best friend got to baptize him too. That was pretty cool. I also get to help teach new member lessons to one of my home teaching family's daughters with the missionaries. That is fun too. Teaching the gospel can be fun.... it's just that sometimes we aren't courageous enough to talk to our friends about it. It's pretty hard for me to talk about it with a bunch of Christian and Catholic friends. It takes some .... word choice to explain what I mean because they don't understand our normal terminology and might misunderstand. Going on a mission is going to be SO MUCH FUN!

Anyway, this is fun to do. Lates!

Suprises are great -- sometimes

hey yall

first thing - that's pretty cool of you guys to comment on some random guy's blog -- I guess I'll have to return the favor!

Baseball is always fun -- except when your teammates get down and don't even want to play anymore. It's kinda hard to get past that.... especially when the team is down by a good 10 runs. ouch... yup. we lost 16-3. But I did get a pretty good hit and a made 0 errors. that's always a good thing. We played a bunch of juniors from Santa Barbara and they were actually really good. I think most of our team was overconfident. Our supposed game today was against Receda, but someone forgot to tell us that the game is actually tomorrow. oh well... got to miss espanol dos. Not like I learn anything in that class anyways... he just gives us the answers. ha ha. Tomorrow's game should be fun. And I get to miss a rally. (Don't really like them anyway)

Taking AP Euro? Isn't it great? All the DBQ's, essays, 5 multiple guess answers... 2 industrial revolutions, renaissance, impressionism, socialism.... just kidding. All the essay writing gets annoying, and the projects. But.... after the test... it's all relax and enjoy. :) hnrs algebra 2 is fun too, especially when it's the teacher's first year EVER teaching. That's pretty fun too. Teaching the teacher. ha ha. Anyways, its getting close to bedy by time. lates

Windy day

Hey yall

been pretty busy lately. Let's see... I never did go on that date, sadly, because #1 I had an early scrimmage the next day, and #2 her (re,ex, whatever) boyfriend decided to go. whatever. We won the first scrimmage and lost the second. I'm glad both of those games were scrimmages. Our season opener was against Taft High School from Westlake. I got to start and play all game (shweet!) at Shortstop. I went 1-3 with a double and an rbi. I made 1 error.... ughh.... but I made up for it with a diving stop (i say stop because it was a hard groundball not a line drive) to save a run. We went on the win 8-4. It was a good first game. My next games are on Tuesday and Thursday, and I can't wait. It should be a blast. It was pretty windy ... I hope it dies down soon. I get to do my scheduling for next year tomorrow... fun... well at least I get to miss AP european history. Another thing I can't wait for is my driver's license... apirl 16th yea! But... that also implies i should get a job (which I need one anyways...). So yea... pretty boring down here. Lates!

Baseball SEASON!!

You know you are a teenager when you have your wallet in one hand and 15 minutes later you can't find it. Ughh.... do I ever hate doing that. Even worse... it had my permit, money, school id, and some pictures in there. I know where I had it last (outside our locker room) and I hope that one of my trustworthy teammates picked it up and has it for me instead of some stupid gangster that can't wait to spend the 22 dollars on dope or something. Oopss.... that was random.
Anyways.... Baseball's started and I am excited!! :D It looks like I will probably start at Shortstop. We had a intersquad game yesterday and I made a diving catch on a line drive... which made up for my pop up. ha ha. Our first scrimmage is on Saturday, the 24th, and its a double header... so that means double the playing time! I think our first game is in March... But I can't wait to start playing games. I love America's Pasttime!
Speaking of activites... I actually get to go on a date this Friday. WOOO HOOO! :D I was talking on the phone with one of my friends that I've known for a while, who broke up with her boyfriend, at least I think so (which kinda sucks cause her bf is my friend... but I can see why she would want to), and I said that I had never been bowling before. So... she said that we had to go bowling on Friday night. So I get to go with one of my Senior friends and his girlfriend (who is my date's best friend) and go bowl. That sounds like fun.... at least that's what everyone tells me. Hopefully it will be a blast, even if I suck at bowling. I enjoy spending time with friends because that's a rarity. ha ha.

So that's pretty much it for now... Lates!

Basketball Season's Over

I am glad I got my CAHSEE testing done... it was totally pointless and stupid. For those of yall that don't know what CAHSEE stands for is California High School Exit Exam, which tests 7th grade standards. For 10th graders. One of the questions was something like this 5+-2. I can't say exactly - I might get sued or busted or something. ha ha. Our last game was against Bishop Diego, which is up by Santa Monica. I got to play in the 2nd quarter and I scored 2pts and a couple of assists. Which totals up to 25 points on the season... pretty good for not expecting to play that much. Baseballs starting up now... YES!! :) I can't wait for official practice on Monday... when I can start playing for real. And after the mass of freshmen cut. Anyways - church ball practice is soon so I should prolly get ready. Lates!

Saturday is a special day

How come Saturdays always seem like the busiest day of the week? I can almost never get any homework or chores done! I had basketball practice from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. We scrimmaged mostly, so it was totally cool. After that, I came home to get ready for the Best of EFY (Especially for Youth). The speakers, Elder Jacobs and Wilcox were really animated and had some awesome topics and points to make. Afterwards, they gave us an hour break to go get dinner. In-N-Out, here I come. lol. It wasn't too packed for having close to 600 people at the conference. The dance was a lot of fun overall... but I got blown off by two girls that were seriously good lookin' and cool. Oh well, when my dad says I am the ugly twin, I guess he's right. I'm supposed to write an essay for AP Euro, but I think I'll do it during my free period tomorrow. I'm feeling lazy... ha ha. Anyways, dinner's almost ready, so I gotta scram. Lates!

Hey Yall

Hey all, thought I'd try something new. (Taylor, I am not copying you... lol) Seems like a cool way to journalize it. :) Just got back from a game vs St. Bonaventure (private catholic school) and we didn't come off too well. We lost by 11... and I didn't get to play. Kinda bummed about that. Can't wait for BASEBALL season to start.... 5 more days...! Just fyi if ya didn't know, Baseball is my sport. I should be starting at shortstop this year for JV, and fill in for pitcher and first. Last year was a bomb shell... we got a coach that filled in just so that we could play, and unfortunately, most of our good players got benched. We still did pretty well though. Anyways... enough lamenting. I'm going to a 5-stake EFY up in Santa Barabara... It should be a blast. Well, I'm off for the night. Lates!
